A scarce piece by Thomas de Witt Talmage (1832-1902), an American preacher, public speaker and clergyman who held pastorates in the Reformed Church of America in the Presbyterian Church. Gilt edges to pages. He was one of the most prominent public speakers at at the time, with his audience rivaling Henry Ward Beecher’s.
