The Duke of Montoro, Francisco de Asis Rivera Ordonez (born 1974) is descended from a long line of Spanish bullfighters. He was awarded the Fine Arts medal by the Culture Ministry of Spain in 2009 which resulted in controversy and outcry from other bullfighters who considered his award due more to glitz and family pedigree rather than his skill in the ring. Ordonez was the subject of Edward Levine's book "Death and the Sun: A Matador's Season in the Heart of Spain" and Catherine Tosko's film "The Bull and The Ban".
