See the user manual online for all the features and specifications, it has quite a lot. This will take 3 SCART inputs and act like a switch box and output one to the TV SCART. The audio from the selected input is used for the 5.1 surround sound system. It can play back a compatible 5.1 signal from a separate coaxial line or generate one from the standard 2 channel stereo input, using built in Dolby Pro Logic 2 systems. It has RCA / phono inputs and outputs so you could potentially connect a wide variety of hi-fi items directly or via an additional external switch box, and connect items like an MP3 player or laptop with a headphone to phono adapter cable, and get a powerful high quality 5.1 surround sound output. It also incorporates an FM / MW / LW radio tuner receiver. Unlike some other similar models there is no integrated DVD / CD disc player, it is designed to operate with a separate external one, which is a sensible design because amplifiers typically last much longer than DVD players. The FM receiver has RDS features which mean that given a suitable signal it will identify the station and output it's name on the display while playing. Supports DTS Digital and Dolby surround sound formats.

It can be operated with a remote control handset which is not included here, it has several buttons on the front so the main features can still be used.

Dolby Pro Logic II has newly developed multichannel playback
format to decode all 2 channel sources—stereo source and Dolby
Surround encoded source—into 5.1 channel.
Matrix-based encoding/decoding method for Dolby Pro Logic II
makes no limitation for the cutoff frequency of the rear treble and
enables stereo rear sound compared to conventional Dolby Pro
Logic.
Dolby Pro Logic II enables to reproduce spacious sound from
original sound without adding any new sounds and tonal colorations.
Dolby Pro Logic II has two modes—Movie mode and Music mode:

Pro Logic II Movie—suitable for reproduction of Dolby Surround
DOLBY SURROUND . You can enjoy encoded sources bearing the mark
sound field very close to the one created with discrete 5.1-channel sounds.

Pro Logic II Music—suitable for reproduction of any 2-channel
stereo music sources. You can enjoy wide and deep sound by using
this mode. For this mode, Panorama control can be selected, which
gives “wraparound” sound effect with side-wall image.
