Cloth-bound hardcover measuring 9.5 x 6.5 inches. Forest green boards with black lettering along spine and printed image of cover art across front board. Book is in Very Good condition. Binding is tight and pages are bright, clean, and intact. No markings or stamps and virtually no shelfwear. Light foxing to endpapers. Small raised bump in middle of back board (a tiny particle appears to have been trapped beneath the cloth during the binding process). Dustjacket is in Very Good condition. Sun-tanning over spine fold and top edge of panels. Interior flaps are clean and unclipped, showing original $11.95 price point and author bio. No tears or significant edgewear. Jacket has been wrapped in mylar. 

This is a handsome and hard-to-find first printing of a limited hardcover chapbook for Donaldson's COVENANT series. Only one thousand trade copies were made in the initial press run. Cover and interior illustrations are by celebrated artist Stephen Fabian.
