PLEASE NOTE: Our doors are constructed using morticed and tenon joints, using boat building glue for that extra durable strength and yes we also mitre our braces in, unlike so many that do not and try to compete with us.  

We only use the finest of Redwood timber available and will not use anything else unless its hardwood etc which can be seen on our actual website if required?  We are very experience in garage door and wooden gates manufacturing and all are welcome to visit us to see everything we offer.

Garage Barn Doors Here we have a pair of Tongue & Grooved Garage Doors in the size above. Made from hand picked Scandinavian Redwood and with a smooth finish. All surround frame-work are complete with a Mortice & Tenoned construction, also pinned and glued for that extra strength and durability. Supplied with a top-hat capping weather strip already attached and fitted by us. All planed over and ready to be stained to your desired colour. Door fittings are available with free delivery with any pair of doors or gate that we sell. Quality assured workmanship guaranteed. Supplied untreated passing the saving onto you. As you can see from our previous customers on our other listings, they have stained their own leaving a wonderful finish. It is recommended to give at least 3 coats of spirit stain to leave you with the correct colour you desire & better protection. For additional items such as doors stops, framework,water drip-cill, wall-plates, or even timbers being made to size for a particular job, then don't hesitate to ask for a quote - we are here to help and understand that every order is bespoke.

Framework Kits: Also available at additional cost (priced accordingly) which includes a ready-cut mortice and tenoned surround frame, easy to use wall fixings & door stops. We can manufacture framework kits for our doors at any size you require so making life just that little easier every-time.  

Garage Door Fittings: Fitting kits are available which includes: 2 pairs of Adjustable hook & band hinges, 1 ring latch, 1 pad-lockable brenton padbolt (padlock not included), 1 drop bolt, 2 cabin hooks. All furniture kits are available in Galvanised or Epoxy Black Finish. We only sell high quality ironmongery for our gates and doors (unlike other sellers).  Also includes screws and bolts required.  Prices start from just £115.

Need A Key-Lock?  Yes, we can supply heavy duty Keylocks (Stainless Steel Rimlocks) suited for our barn doors (priced accordingly).  Very easy to install is 5 minutes (just simply drill a hole and push the barrel through and screw on - no morticing required). Supplied with all fixtures needed, appropriate drill bit,  brass surround plate for the key hole for finished effect or pull handle (optional extra) in either Chrome, Black or Brass colours. Very heavy duty rimlock. Supplied with 5 keys. We can also supply keyed alike versions for those that have more than one lock but only need 1 key - additional £12 for keyed alike locks.  Can also be supplied with the relevant pull handle which provides a nice finish (either Chrome or Epoxy Black Finish)

Before & Aftercare: The timber (handpicked ‘Joinery Grade’ softwood by our highly experienced craftsmen) is supplied in a smooth/untreated fashion, ready for you to stain/paint to your desired colour.  If you intend to use a stain, then we highly recommend applying Sikkens HLS (for the base-coat), followed by Sikkens Filter 7 for the additional top coats, using a good quality brush and following the grains of the timber gently.  This ‘proven’ formula does not only help protect against water and fungae, but also against the UV rays, which is equally important for external timber. (Do not spray) and allow good drying times between each coat ‘for best results’.  From previous research and experience, we have found www.decoratingwarehouse.co.uk to be the most competitive as regards to price for Sikkens products, ‘however’ we always recommend shopping around just in-case you manage to find cheaper elsewhere – you maybe lucky!  If you intend to finish with a coloured paint, we recommend to apply a spirit based stain prior (making sure the timber preserved) to applying the paint covering.

Returns Policy: We do have a returns policy which is as follows. A refund will be due if the product is in the unlikely event to have so called bad workmanship. Although we use the finest of Scandinavian Redwood timber available it can still have the natural instinct to shake, warp, discolour, loose knots, shrink and expand which is only natural for the character of the material being used, so this is obviously not covered by any warranty or refund. It is the customers responsibility to maintain the products purchased from us, i.e. staining the timber (using spirit-based stain as advised above) when needed and keeping all fittings well oiled when required.  Any products being returned to us after a 7 day period will incur the carriage costs at the customers expense weather it be for refund, replace or repair. Our items are delivered pre-wrapped so please use the wrap it was originally deliver in for extra protection.  We cannot be liable for any miss-measures so its important to double check all measurements before ordering.
