"William Gálvez. O., is a classically trained painter, (autodidact for the most part) with Renaissance overtones, who has managed to float into the twentieth first century.
At an early age he did a short stint the Conservatorio de Bellas Artes, one of the most prestigious Art Academies in Colombia, only to be interrupted by his inevitably trip to the United States, where his reputation had preceded him.
In the last few years, Gálvez has given full play to his mastery of classic realism, which he sees as truth and beauty. His works of Art have a jewel-like quality seldom seem in painting today. He is unashamed of his prodigious technical skills, in fact, he flaunts it, almost daring the viewer not to become involved in the richness, luminosity, and minute details of his trompe-l’ oeil style.
Gálvez was invited, and has accepted to become a member of the International Guild of Realism.
