Description

Give metal parts a durable, professional-quality finish with Brownells Gun-Kote Oven Cure Gun Finish. This ultra-thin, oven-cured coating is designed to provide excellent protection against rust, corrosion, scratches, wear, gun solvents, and thinners while maintaining close-tolerance fit.

Gun-Kote contains molybdenum disulfide for self-lubricating properties and can be applied to properly prepared alloy steel, stainless steel, brass, aluminum, and nickel-plated surfaces.

Each cured coat is approximately .0004" thick, making Gun-Kote suitable for both internal and external metal components where excessive coating thickness could cause interference.

Once properly applied and cured, Gun-Kote forms a tough thermo-set resin finish designed for long-lasting durability.

Basic Application

Prepare and thoroughly clean the metal surface before application. Preheat the part to approximately 100°F, apply Gun-Kote, and allow the coating to dry.

For final curing, bake the coated part at approximately 325°F for one hour.
