HDM212 is a harmonic distortion meter that mainly detects the ratio of the fundamental wave to the third harmonic of a sine wave signal. Most harmonic problems are caused by the 3rd harmonic. Due to the fact that the third harmonic is the second highest energy of the fundamental component. Therefore, our focus is only on discovering the 3rd harmonic distortion using formula 1.
