This is the very impressive 15 inch chop plate in the red color that was part of the original Fiesta production pieces in 1936 Homer Laughlin, West Virginia.  The 15 inch chop plate is the largest (in width) of any of the vintage pieces produced and actually measures about 14 3/8th inches across.  There are two versions of the chop plate, the single foot and double foot (original production version).  I have not been able to find when the transition to the single foot version was made, but the turquoise color (which was introduced in mid 1937) is very hard to find with the double foot. I have not personal found a turquoise double foot, so I lean toward around 1938 would be the introduction of the single foot version of the chop plate.  The chop plate is in very good used condition with an even glaze application on both the top and bottom surfaces. There are several small glaze pops that filled back in, leaving a shallow recess but glazed over when viewed at an angle.  There are no glaze skips or sand bumps that I can fond. There are no chips, cracks or repairs that I can find.  The piece is not marked which is common for the double foot version.  There are light use and stacking marks on the top surface (shown in the photos) when viewed at an angle.  This piece is heavy  at over 4 pounds before packing.   I'm in the process of downsizing my collection of items from stores I had across the midwestern states over the years and family.  I've had most of these pieces packed away for years.  As I unpack a box, I'll be listing the contents.   The photos and additional details below are part of the item description.  If you need any additional photos or have any questions please feel free to contact me.  Thanks for looking at my listing.  Check out my stores other items and take advantage of combined shipping savings.     Shelf 2/Floor
