With that said, it looks to be complete (enough strands to complete the design). The kit includes cloth/plastic coated canvas and yarn materials, but you will need a latch hook tool to do the craft. Personally I like doing latch hook, it is not hard and it is an easy craft to do while watching tv, but I have literally run out of space in my Shortcake room. This kit was originally manufactured in the 1980s, original and licensed, making it a perfect addition to any collection.
