The File manager acts as a proxy to allow Pathfinder and SDD (up to v164) to access downloads and uploads the DSFM file server.

It has a File Manager type window listing all of the files downloaded or uploaded to the JLR DSFM Servers through the Proxy.

It operates in the background and does not patch either Pathfinder or SDD products. It allows applications that access the DSFM servers using http communications to continue to do so without problem it is designed to manage only the standard http communications and files downloaded or uploaded by Pathfinder or SDD using that process. It handles the secure channel to the JLR DSFM Servers.
