Purely Domestic Product: Traditional Japanese sandals handcrafted by skilled artisans using authentic tatami, in a men's "setta" style.

• The subtle scent of the tatami straw is calming.
• Each pair is carefully handcrafted by artisans from start to finish.
• The base of the sandals, where the foot rests, is made from domestically produced authentic tatami. This provides excellent breathability, making them less likely to cause sweating during hot summer months.
• The sole is made of EVA, which is gentle on flooring, so they can be used both indoors and outdoors.
• Tatami naturally absorbs moisture, and the thong-style design helps with foot odor and athlete's foot prevention.

Origin of Setta: It is said that Sen no Rikyū (a historical tea master) started using leather on the soles of sandals to prevent water from seeping through while walking in the snow. While they may have gained some negative connotations over time, setta are a practical type of sandal derived from traditional Japanese zori sandals. The central strap design prevents uneven wear caused by foot habits, as it evenly distributes the wear. As a result, it is common to wear setta so that the little toe slightly extends beyond the edge.
