SRI YANTRA SHRI CHAKRA OIL VARNISHED HAND-PAINTED NEWARI
PAUBHA THANGKA – SHRIVIDYA SACRED ART
This is an original hand-painted Sri Yantra (Shri
Chakra) Newari Paubha Thangka, created by skilled Newar artists of the
Kathmandu Valley and finished with a protective oil varnish to
enhance color depth and preserve the artwork for years to come.
The Sri Yantra, also known as the Shri
Chakra, is one of the most revered symbols in the Shrividya tradition.
Composed of nine interlocking triangles surrounding a central point
(Bindu), it represents the union of cosmic energy, divine consciousness,
and the source of all creation.
The upward-facing triangles symbolize Shiva, the
masculine principle, while the downward-facing triangles symbolize Shakti,
the feminine creative force. Together they express the perfect balance of the
universe and the unity of all existence.
Traditionally used for meditation, spiritual practice, and
sacred space decoration, the Sri Yantra is believed to attract prosperity,
harmony, abundance, and positive energy.
This semi-old painting displays minor signs of age and use,
adding authenticity and character to this unique piece of Himalayan sacred art.
