Aluminium Sheet/Plate

Up to 6mm thick, our aluminium sheet and plate is cold rolled to size. Thicknesses from 1mm – 4mm are supplied in grade 1050 H14, any thicknesses above that are in grade 6082T6.

1050 H14 grade is of a minimum 99.5% pure aluminium. It has excellent formability and is suitable for MIG and TIG welding. It is commonly used as panels for classic cars, kit card and sports cars.

The benefits of 1050 H14 aluminium is that it has excellent corrosion resistance and is ideal for anodising or powder coating. Owing to this feature it is often used in the manufacturing of signs and curtain walling.

It is suitable for use on commercial vehicle bodies, horse boxes, trailers and caravans.

The 6082T6 material is harder and lends itself to structural applications. It has good machinability and is commonly used as base plates for machining and sump guards on performance cars

Cutting Service

We are happy to provide the 1st 2 cuts free of charge. Any further cuts are charged at 50 Pence each.

If you require your material cutting, you must include details of your cutting requirements in the "Message To Seller" section on eBay (just before the payment screen). If you send the request in any other way (i.e via E-Bay message or E-mail) we cannot guarantee that we will get this information before your item is despatched.

Every time we cut your bar, we lose approx 5mm of material. i.e a 1000mm long bar would yield 10 equal pieces @ approx 95mm long not 100mm long. This doesn't apply to sheet 6mm or under and this is always cut with a guillotine.

Please be aware that we are stockholders, not engineers, and therefore offer a standard cutting tolerance of +/-2mm.
