Cousin Ken's 'G.I. Joe Jeep Combat Set' was removed from a long, gentle family storage a few months ago. Overall, it remains in very good vintage condition. The vintage toy set dates back to the mid 1960's. It saw very little 'combat' back in the day. INCLUDED IS: COMBAT JEEP: Clean both inside and out, showing very little surface wear. It maintains a nice gloss. The tires are intact and in excellent condition. They also show little wear. The hood opens to a very clean battery compartment. The stick shift is intact. The back tailgate is in working order. The windshield flips up and down properly. It has a 2 1/2 inch crack, as pictured above. The steering wheel is included. It has a broken 'clip' end that attaches it in place. I have also pictured this above. The dragonfly and GM decals certainly are not original, but are the deeds of youth. A side attachment mount for the spare tire is missing, preventing the spare from being hung the the vehicle. However, the spare tire and hub cover are included separately. They also remain in excellent condition. CARGO TRAILER: Clean and maintaining a gloss. Intact, excellent tires. Broken/missing hitch, as pictured above. Missing one rear red brake light decal. TRIPOD MOUNTED TOY PROJECTILE LAUCHER : Clean and glossy. Three plastic projectiles included. The plastic tripod has an old blemish that looks as if something had melted. I have also pictured this above. TRIPOD MOUNTED SPOTLIGHT: Clean. Wires intact. It did not work when I battery tested the toy. INSTRUCTIONS and FLAG: The original instructions are in fair condition, showing some tears, old tape repairs and stains. The flag is not original to the set, but was packed away with the toy for many years. PARTIAL ORIGINAL BOX: The two panel section of the box is all that survived. Iconic and colorful. Possibly suitable for framing. Cousin Ken's vintage G.I. Joe Jeep combat set still displays extremely well. "Nostalgic boyhood memories rediscovered in an old tote".
