This is a pair of the rocket mail stamps as used on the covers carried in rocket 165 named "Gertrude Collins" fired on 26 June 1938.  500 rocket stamps were printed, with 102 used on covers, leaving 398 unused. There are 3 small areas of orange staining as shown on the scan. Please note that the item was scanned in a stock card which in this case shows no distortion.

I am selling other Stephen Smith material and will combine postage as weight allows. If bidding on items finsihing on different days, please let me know to avoid any misunderstandings with invoicing.

NOTE FOR BUYERS FROM EUROPE - Ebay may add VAT to your order even though I am not registered for VAT. I do not know what happens to the money or how they decide what rate to charge. I have no control over it whatsoever and derive no benefit.

Postage is £0.85 to UK address, (for 2nd class - there is such a disparity between first and second now, that I have set 2nd as the default option, but I will send first class at £1.65 on request), £2.80 to the rest of the worled for standard services at the buyer's risk. I al;ways obtain a certificate of posting and also take a scan of the envelope before posting, so I cannot accept any claims for non-delivery, and bidders are deemed to accept these terms by bidding. If a buyer is not willing to accept the risk I will send by more secure services at cost which is £8.35 to UK addresses for special delivery, £8.15 to the rest of the world for tracked/signed air mail. For sendings over £50 I prefer to use the latter more secure services and will invoice accordingly.
