This is a registered cover franked wioth the Leewards Islands set addressed to Denver. The stamps are cancelled NEVIS 22 December 1935. On the reverse is a BOSTON transit mark of 20 January 1936 and 2 different DENVER receipt marks both dated 23 January 1935. The front has the interesting cachet FOREIGN LETTER PACKAGE COLLECT 10 CENTS FOR CUSTOMS CLEARANCE POSTAGE-DUE STAMPS TO BE AFFIXED AND CANCELLED. More often only the first 2 lines appear and this is often mistaken for a normal postage due. THis cachet clearly explains the process. 2 x 5 cents postage due stamps have been affixed over a cachet declaring the item to be free of customs duty. The postage due stamps have been pre-canclled as usual, in this case by a blue crayon. The cover has been slit open at the top.
I hope the condition of the perforations, and general condition is apparent from the 600 dpi scan, but please do contact me with any queries.

COMBINED POSTAGE
I am selling other 1935 Silver Jubilee iitems. I will combine postage as weight allows. If bidding on items finishing on different days please let me know to avoid any misunderstandings over invoicing.

NOTE FOR BUYERS FROM EUROPE - Ebay will add VAT to your order even though I am not registered for VAT. I do not know what happens to the money or how they decide what rate to charge. I have no control over it whatsoever and derive no benefit.

The £50 limit postage details apply to this item - £8.35, or £8.15.
Postage is 76p to UK addresses, £1.70 to Europe and £2.50 to the rest of the world for standard services at the buyer's risk. I always obtain a certificate of posting and take a scan of the envelope before posting, so cannot consder any claims for non-delivery. I will use other services on request and at cost. For sendings over £50 I prefer to use secure services - special delivery to UK addresses at £7.95, and tracked/signed air mail to the rest of the world (£8..15) and will invoice accordingly.
