A beautiful example of a mid century, 1950s-60s, low glazed bookcase/storage unit/sideboard in teak by Herbert E Gibbs. This piece with two adjustable shelves, offers lots of flexible storage and can be used as a bookcase, drinks or display cabinet or sideboard. It would make a great statement piece in a living, dining or bedroom setting.
The central cabinet features two glass sliding doors and the cabinet to the right features an original piano hinge and a new brushed brass knob pull. The shelves to both compartments are removable and adjustable by moving the pegs/supports.
This is a solid piece and has been fully restored and finished by hand. It is in excellent vintage condition with minor marks/light signs of wear throughout, as would be expected of a piece of this age.
With clean lines and mid century styling it offers incredible value for money., and will offer many many more years of service!!
