This is the 4 cents stamp plus a pair of the 3 cents stamps paying the correct rate - 5 cents for the foreign letter rate, and 5 cents for registration.    The stamps are cancelled BELIZE REGISTRATION 7 November 1935. On the reverse is a NEW ORLEANS transit mark of 14 November and 2 strikes of an AKRON receipt mark of 16 Movember1935. On the front is a cachet indicating the cover had been examined and found to be free of customs duty.  Whilst there are no contents to prove the purpose of this cover,  this type of Post Office cover was often used to supply stamps to buyers. Neil Donen has written a series of 3 articles on this type of cover, published recently in Gibbons Stamp Monthly. SG suggest a cover factor of from x8 for the SJ stamps which indicates that correct rate covers are uncommon. The cover was slit open at the top. The 4 corners of the cover have been rimmed off.
I hope the general condition is apparent from the 600 dpi scan, but please do contact me with any queries.

VAT
I am not registered for VAT and do not need to charge it. However, Ebay sometimes adds VAT to invoices to European countries at various different rates. I have no control over this and derive no benefit if this happens, in fact I lose as Ebay charge their percentage on the tax as well as the actual price and postage.  If the VAT added to an invoice makes a transaction unviable, please let me know and I will cancel the transaction.

COMBINED POSTAGE
I am selling other 1935 Silver Jubilee iitems. I will combine postage as weight allows. If bidding on items finishing on different days please let me know to avoid any misunderstandings over invoicing.

POSTAGE COSTS AND TERMS OF BUSINESS
Postage is £0.85 to UK addresses (for 2nd class, I will send first class at £1.65 on request)  and £2.80 to the rest of the world for standard services (without tracking) at the buyer's risk. I always obtain a certificate of posting and take a scan of the envelope before posting, so cannot consder any claims for non-delivery. I will use other services on request and at the actual cost charged by Royal Mail. For sendings over £50 I prefer to use tracked  services - special delivery to UK addresses at £8.35, and tracked/signed air mail to the rest of the world (£8.15) and will invoice accordingly.
