Here, a covered serving bowl by L. Bernardaud & Co (of Limoges, France) created exclusively for New York emporium Higgins & Seiter (one of the foremost dealers in fine European tableware during the late 1800's and early 1900's). This piece appears in an illustrated Higgins & Seiter 1913/14 catalogue in the Drawings & Prints collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
