This rare early 1900's photogravure print features two men playing billiards/snookers by M. Duspar, a renowned artist of the Art Nouveau period. The print is an original production, not a reprint, and is framed under glass in its original hand quarter sawn oak frame There are 3 billiard shaped wooden half balls on the bottom left of the frame which mirror the position of the 2 white and 1 red billiard balls on the table in the print.
The visible area of the print measures 9-1/8" width x 7-1/2" height and is signed by the artist in the upper right corner. Including the frame, the piece measures 16" width x 14-1/4" height.
In very good estate condition with no visible damage to the visible surface of the print. The wooden frame is also in good condition with only some scattered scratches and small surface blemishes. There is some flecking of the red paint on the one wooden billiard ball. The other two wooden balls were likely painted white at some point which has worn off over time. There are no notable condition issues on the back of the frame. There is a wire for hanging. The print was not examined outside of its frame.
