Vintage House Of Lloyd Inc 1989 Easter Bunny Shelf Sitter Kitchen Sponge Holder?

This super adorable bunny appears to possibly be a kitchen sponge holder? He holds something in his back or could be a super cute shelf sitter for Easter. Comes with original box and tag. Listing as used but if it’s been used it was very gently. Bottom has a bit of wearing but he’s in excellent condition otherwise.
