The adventures of Jonka, Jonek and Kleks are a classic Polish children's comic book by Szarlota Pawel. Cheerful, fantasy-filled and grotesque stories were published from the 1970s to the 1990s. in the 1990s in the pages of the popular magazine "Świat Młodych" and also in album editions. Jonka and Jonek, raised in the housing blocks of the Polish People's Republic, thanks to Kleks break away from their daily routine and enter the land of fantasy and dreams. We remind readers of the likeable characters and their world, the limits of which are set only by the imagination.
The Jubilee Edition, published on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the series, collects non-chronologically in three volumes the comics featuring the adventures of Jonka, Jonek and Kleks, starting with the first black-and-white story published in "Świat Młodych" in 1974. Some of these comics have not been republished in the last thirty years. Each volume is enriched with numerous extras with Kleks: lesson plans, calendars, alternative boards, illustrations, as well as texts full of memories and curiosities.
The first volume of the collection includes: "The Adventures of Jonka, Jonek and Kleks", "The Kidnapping of the Princess" and the story "Kleks and the Golden Fish". The comics are preceded by an introduction by Adam Radoń, director of the International Festival of Comics and Games in Łódź, and the album ends with an afterword by Maciej Jasiński devoted to the life and comics work of Szarlota Pawel.
