Swedish Grace Three Piece Tea Set Sterling Silver 1953 CG Hallberg
Vintage Swedish sterling silver three-piece tea set, including teapot, creamer and sugar bowl in the Swedish Grace style associated with the combination of Classicism and Art Deco. The lids are decorated with figural floral finials, the pot has carved wooden handle. No monograms. Date marks for 1953. Made by C.G. Hallberg - prominent Swedish goldsmith and jeweler to the Swedish Court; In the early 20th century it was the largest jeweler in Scandinavia and one of Sweden's top firms.
This splendid set measures:
the tea pot is 8 1/4" tall, 8" wide across the handle and the spout, weighing 592.5 grams,
the sugar bowl is 3 7/8" in diameter, 4 1/4" tall, 219.6 grams,
the creamer is 3 3/8" tall, 4 3/4" wide from the handle to the spout, 160.1 grams.
Total weight is 972.2 grams or 31.36 ozs Troy.
The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, with no monograms, repairs, removals or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.
