HAUNTING FIGURES—Untitled. Signed indistinctly to lower right corner. Very large oil on board with attractively crude white frame. Presumably French with the surrealist manner of the painting, with what appears to be ‘menage’ (household) to the verso. The verso, curiously and presumably, a former work with patterned design to board. Measures 107 x 123xm incl. frame. A terrific, atmospheric painting.
