Overvoltage protection for the C64 and its power brick.
Designed by BWACK GitHub: https://github.com/bwack/
The C64 Saver is for anyone wanting to use the old Commodore power brick together with the C64.
The power brick is 30-40 years old, and it is known for failure with overvoltage. This is caused sometimes because of broken solder joints on the regulator or the regulator itself failing.
Some versions of the PSU can be opened and modified to protect for over voltage but not all. This device sits in-line and provides that protection for those PSU that are not easy to upgrade. Can be used on the ones that can be modified avoiding soldering.
This device cuts off the supply to the C64 in the event of an over voltage event thus protecting the computer from damage.
All devices are bench tested before despatch.
