ITEM DESCRIPTION

Up for your consideration is a superb Jerome Massier (1850-1916), Oxblood vase, Vallauris, France, glazed pottery, unsigned, 4"dia x 17.75"h.  The vase is a well-known and desirable Massier form, most made in this precise height.  The vase is completely hand-potted, and the fine trefoil rim is thin and precisely made.  The oxblood glaze is a rich red with darker red streaks, emerging from areas where the drip glaze was thicker.  It is tall, slender, and delicate.

Elongated bottle form with a trefoil shaped rim, raised on a circular foot. Overall, excellent  condition with some light scratches to glaze. No signature detected. There are no chips, cracks, crazing, or restorations.
