MN Cars have been growing their reputation with their high quality licensed RC vehicles. As we stock their range of Rock Crawlers, we also offer a full range of upgrades and accessories. What may start as a budget model can easily be upgraded to a customised high-performance model.
Built with traditional mechanical components, the MN series provided a highly customisable setup; axels, motors, suspension, wheels and much more! It's not just a toy, it's an experience in learning how individual components function and how to install, maintain and upgrade them.
The MN82, MN90-99 and MN168 models share a common chassis design so the majority of components and fitting methods are compatible. We have isolated any model specific components to be clear, but please reach out to us with your modification plans as we can offer guidance.
Suspension
The MN82 features a standardised leaf-spring setup at the rear with a more basic spring shock setup. Upgrading the shocks is a worthwhile upgrade for looks and performance. A leaf spring upgrade can make the rear much stiffer, so best if you plan heavier loads or a speed upgrade. You will need a single pair of suspension mounts to upgrade the front.
The MN90-99 and MN168 models feature more advanced shock setups.
MN90-99 models are top heavy model so choose your suspension wisely. The spring set as used on MN82 series is compatible and provides a soft, responsive suspension, ideal for crawling, but allows a lot of shell roll. The MN90-99 kit is stiffer and an option for higher speeds, but crawler hobbyists may miss the body movement. Both options can be altered with our range of silicon lubricants.
The MN90-99 kit includes mounting plates for more adjustment, however these may require cutting into the shell, so we don't recommend using them. The MN99/98s models are compatible with our metal suspension mounts and provide a perfect fitment. We also stock various suspension joints in our store for greater customisation.
The MN168 requires heavy duty shock and dampers. You will require a full set of suspension mounts.
Axles
Plastic components eventually fail during heavy use, so consider upgrading to metal components. Metal driveshafts and prop-shafts offer a reliable performance upgrade and smooth operation. Our standard driveshafts are a metal replica of the original design with a 4mm shaft bore, requiring copper sleeves to fit. Our upgraded shafts feature a swivel joint for smoother operation, but need to be lubricated with our lithium grease packs. Please use our guide to identify the shaft length you need.
Due to the weight of these components, you should consider a metal pull rod kit and upgraded servo. An upgraded motor and battery will provide greater performance and a good long-term investment.
Motors
The standard 280 motors are limited, particularly with heavier, upgraded models. Our 370 motors make a significant difference in speed and torque, and fit snugly within the original shells. We provide these with a full metal transmission unit, making them an easy plug + play upgrade. We leave the standard power cables detached, so you can either use these, or attach cables suitable for a customer build.
The 130 motors in MN90 models are particularly lacking, but due to the older chassis design, these require a cross-assembly motor design.
We stock third-party motors in our store for a greater range of torque and speed options. Please consider the dimensions of these units with your project as you may need to workaround this.
Electricals
The Electronic Speed Controller (ESC) is the central control unit of your RC model and responsible for power distribution across all your devices. The MN82 and MN90 models have the ESC and receiver modules merged on a custom motherboard, with micro-JST/HP connectors, which are incompatible with most RC upgrades and limits your upgrade potential.
In our store, you can find ESC upgrade kits and conversion harnesses featuring a more standardised JR connector. We also offer Transmitter and Receiver kits, available in 4, 6 or 8 channels, maximising the potential of our RC models.
The MN168 and MN128 are designed with standardised 4CH receiver units, which can be upgraded to a 6CH or third-party unit much more easily.

Wheels
Heavier wheels and wheel spacers provide a wider wheel base and greater balance, ideal for the top-heavy MN90 and MN168 series. We offer extensions from the stock 5mm hub size to 12mm hubs, giving you a range of upgrade options.
Soft tyres can be enhanced with our foam inserts.
When considering larger wheels, consider your arch size for clearance and review our body lift kits.

Payments for our eBay listings are managed by eBay through your account. All listings are set for immediate payment, with the exception of auctions, where payment is expected within 3 days

Shipping Service
Our main delivery service is Royal Mail, for a safe and reliable service.
All items are tracked, so loss or damage during transit can be confirmed and reimbursed, providing protection for both parties.
We offer flat-rate shipping options, meaning you save by combining all items from our store. We do not offer 'Free Postage', as this only hides the shipping cost in the item price.
International shipping
eBay's Global Shipping Program will provide a quotation for shipping and import charges based on the estimated size, weight and value of your order.
We can assist international buyers with multiple purchases, by creating a pre-prepared bundle, where the exact size, weight and value of the items is used to provide accurate rates. Contact us with details of your order and we will work this out for you to minimise shipping costs.
Packaging
We stock a large range of pre-selected, modular cardboard boxes, with a focus on eco-friendly, paper dunnage material. Using the most appropriate packaging for safer delivery.
Returns
We understand mistakes can be made, such as the wrong items being bought or sent in error. We will always reward honesty rather than anyone trying to abuse eBay's return policy to their advantage. As we deal with collectibles, returns must be agreed within 14 days and provided in original state. However we will apply reasonable common sense with how items may have been opened to determine an issue.
Warranty
We take great care in packing our products, but understand things can go wrong due to external elements. Please contact us should you have any issues with products received, as soon as possible, so we may address this.
We will uphold a standard electrical warranty on all electrical goods. As an anti-fraud prevention, a unique code from each item is recorded with your order, and provides limited cover against manufacturing defects, as long as this code is validated with the unit.
