High-Quality UK-Made Underlay in 8mm, 10mm, and 12mm Thickness Options

Our premium underlay, available in 8mm, 10mm, and 12mm thicknesses, is manufactured in the UK by Carpenter, one of the world’s leading foam producers, with facilities in over 70 locations globally. This underlay is produced at their Hadfield site near Glossop and is part of Carpenter’s renowned "Magic" range. It is machine-rolled, tightly packed, and plain-coloured without any branding, supplied in clear bags for easy handling.

Options and Ordering

Choose from 8mm, 10mm, or 12mm thicknesses with roll sizes available from 5 sqm up to 60 sqm. Each roll is consistently 1.37m wide, with length varying based on square meter selection (e.g., 5 sqm roll measures 1.37m x 3.66m). For orders over 15 sqm, multiple rolls will be provided. Smaller rolls of 5 sqm and 7.5 sqm may be folded for easier delivery without affecting performance.

Key Features

Our underlay is manufactured in the UK from recycled foam, offering a plush, soft feel underfoot. It is ideal for most rooms, including bedrooms, living rooms, dining rooms, and hallways. For stairs, we recommend the 8mm or 10mm options due to their more suitable thickness.

Specifications

All measurements are approximate, and slight variations may occur due to the cutting process. Photos with a ruler are provided to demonstrate thickness, though compression at the edges can sometimes occur.

Installation Instructions

For best results, install the underlay with the writing facing up. When placing on wooden floorboards, lay the underlay perpendicular to the boards and butt each row up to the previous one to ensure consistency. Secure the underlay to wooden floors with staples and use spray adhesive on concrete floors. Taping the seams is optional but recommended for optimal fit.

Delivery Information

We offer FREE 48-hour delivery via Parcelforce across the UK. Tracking numbers are provided after purchase, and live tracking is available on the Parcelforce website.

Please allow extra time for remote areas and note that delivery times may vary due to the underlay’s bulky nature. To avoid inconvenience, we recommend scheduling carpet fitting only after the underlay is delivered.
