CALCULATING SHIPPING
(Following answers your questions...Please read!):
Shipping rates you see are formulated by eBay/USPS (not me).The factors considered are: distance from my Zip to your destination Zip code, by Dimensional Weight (overall weight, including packing/box), along with package size (HxWxL=Girth). Carriers are also tacking on fuel surcharges we don't know about till after your delivery and Seller is charged additionally after reconciliation. eBay also charges the Seller 12.9% commission fees on the Shipping paid as well. These absorbent charges make it difficult to offer the Buyer any savings on shipping. Keep in mind, ALL Carriers, including USPS, do NOT offer discounts in their shipping fees!
In fairness to all my Buyers, I don't prefer to "Flat Rate" the costs which can end up inflating charges for those whose Zip destinations are closer to my location. I choose for the more "actual rate cost" determined by the formula eBay/USPS calculates as "your" rate in each listing. I hope this helps you to rethink shipping charges, that your Seller is doing their very best with limited resources. Thank you for understanding and not rating your Seller, beyond their control.
