This is a heavy hanging lamp it looks to me like it was used as an outdoor lamp, by the patina on it, it's all brass.

The slender supports to keep the lamp quite sturdy and free from harm are barley twist. The glass shade is sharp on the outside and in good condition.

This is a good example of a light from a larger house to my memory but it would fit in nicely today.

It measures 16" from the bottom of the lamp to the top of the ring.
The lamp part measures 10" tall and it is 8 1/2" across.

I like that attention to the very bottom was made in that the end caps look like elegant little legs. This is quite heavy in my lap as I list it, it has 'patina' i.e. dirty.
It weighs 4.95 pounds, five pounds, with another pound for a box and wrap. It's heavy duty but it doesn't look that way with the barley twist supports and loads of details, it is neither barbaric nor too refined, it's just right for wherever the place might be. Other than a small place, that is. In my opinion, of course, this is too grand for a tiny entryway, or maybe it isn't in the right hands.
