This Tororo kombu is made from Rausu kelp, a high-grade kelp from Shiretoko Rausu in Hokkaido.
Rausu kelp is commonly known as "Onikombu" and grows along the Rausu coast of the Shiretoko Peninsula. It is characterized by its rich flavor and umami, and produces a full-bodied broth.
The fine fibers of the kelp melt softly in the mouth. Enjoy it in miso soup, soup, soba noodles, udon noodles, somen noodles, and rice balls.
