Also includes a small (8 pp.) report on the life of Jerome Myers, with a handwritten letter from his wife, Ethel, affixed to the front, stating that she had been out of New York and had not gotten a chance to respond, and of her wish to meet the recipient should she visit the city. Jerome Myers (1867-1940) was an Ashcan School artist and writer. In 1913, he helped organize the Armory Show, which introduced a wide variety of European modern art to the United States. His wife, Ethel (1881-1960) was also an Ashcan School artist, with her fame occurring later in life, following positive reception of an assortment of her realist bronze sculptures.
