This is a ceramic work by Italian artist, Livio Oracio Valentini, done in 1995, signed and with the original label.

Valentini was a concentration camp survivor, and eventually moved to Aiken, South Carolina, working with the University of South Carolina-Aiken, until his death in 2008.

His works rarely come up for sale. This one, entitled, "Vegetale," is approximately 40 cm x 15 cm x 10 cm.

I obtained this piece from the estate of a physician in Missouri.
