A medical product, specifically a PCN (Percutaneous Nephrostomy) catheter set with a size of 10 Fr (French) and a length of 30 cm.
A PCN catheter is a medical device used in interventional radiology or urology procedures. It is inserted through the skin into the kidney to drain urine in cases where the normal flow is obstructed. The French size (Fr) is a unit of measurement for the diameter of catheters. In this case, the catheter has a diameter of 10 French.

1. Catheter: The catheter is a flexible tube that is inserted through the skin and into the renal pelvis (the central part of the kidney). It allows urine to drain from the kidney to an external collection bag.

2. Guidewire: A thin, flexible wire used to guide the catheter into the renal pelvis. The guidewire is typically inserted through a needle into the kidney.

3. Needle: A special needle is used to puncture the skin and access the renal pelvis. Once the needle is properly positioned, the guidewire can be advanced into the kidney.

4. Dilators: These are instruments used to enlarge the tract created by the needle to make room for the catheter. Dilators come in various sizes to match the diameter of the catheter.

5. Sheath: A sheath may be used to provide a smooth passage for the catheter during insertion and removal.

6. Drainage Bag: A collection bag attached to the catheter collects urine drained from the kidney.

Indications for PCN Catheterization:**

1. Obstruction: PCN may be used to relieve urinary tract obstruction, such as when kidney stones block the normal flow of urine.

2. Infection: It can be used to drain infected urine from the kidney and prevent the spread of infection.

3. Tumors: PCN may be employed in cases where tumors or other growths are causing blockages.

4. Trauma: Injuries to the urinary system that require drainage may be managed with a PCN catheter.

5. Diagnostic purposes: PCN may also be used to obtain urine samples directly from the kidney for diagnostic testing.

Procedure:

1. Patient Preparation: The patient is positioned, and the skin over the kidney area is cleaned and sterilized.

2. Local Anesthesia: The area where the catheter will be inserted is numbed with a local anesthetic.

3. Needle Insertion: The needle is inserted through the skin and into the renal pelvis, guided by imaging.

4. Guidewire Placement: A guidewire is threaded through the needle into the kidney.

5. Dilator and Catheter Insertion: Dilators may be used to enlarge the tract, and then the catheter is advanced over the guidewire into the kidney.

6. Securing the Catheter: The catheter is secured in place, and the drainage bag is attached.

7. Post-Procedure Monitoring: The patient is monitored for any complications, and imaging may be performed to confirm proper catheter placement.

Double J stent with pusher urology 6Fr X 26cm

Double J Stent placed inside the ureter during surgery to ensure drainage of urine from the kidney into the bladder. A double-J stent is a ureteral stent with curving ends that prevent the stent slipping into the bladder or the kidney. J shaped curls are present at both ends to hold the tube in place and prevent migration, A stent is a soft, hollow, plastic tube. Ureteral stents are placed temporarily into the ureter which is the tube that drains urine from the kidney into your bladder. The stent allows drainage around a stone or can speed up healing after stone surgery.
