An early original example of a hard to find Accutron Astruanaut l 71960 M3 with signed dial and a recent fully in depth documented service in 2023 with the watch being from 1963. Complete with original bracelet.
38mm stainless steel case with steel rotating bezel. Black dial with beautifully naturally aged hands and hour markers that have gone a wonderful creamy yellow colour over time which appears to be original as do the hands.
Replacement acrylic crystal added at recent service.
Fitted to original steel coffin link bracelet and folding clasp to fit a wrist snugly up to 7.5inches.
This Bulova powered watch has remarkable history having been used by Nasa for various satellite missions to space. It was the tuning folk technology that won Bulova this prestigious accolade and so this watch and its movement should rightly have a place in history alongside the much more famous Omega Speedmaster 'Moonwatch'.
