Fair condition. Wear and staining to boards. Tips are bumped with exposed boards. Joints and hinges are cracked. Leather title plate on spine shows cracking and chipping but is still legible. Provenance in ink on endpaper and title page. Endpapers up to p.iii are almost completely detached from binding. Toning, age-staining, tea-staining, and finger-staining throughout textblock. Volume lists 38 plates including map, but plates I (map), II, XXIII-XXV, XXX, XXXI, XXXIV-XXXVI are missing. Plate IX is also labeled incorrectly. Binding is cracked. Please see photos.

It covers the counties of Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Cheshire, Cornwall, Cumberland, Derbyshire, and Devon. The work was curtailed in 1819 on Samuel Lysons' death. Also includes content on topics such as population, manufacture, and commerce.
