Description
These exceptional antique Austro-Hungarian silver fruit dishes, have an oval-shaped form.
The surfaces of these antique silver dishes are embellished with impressive embossed and chased wheat and wild-flower designs, accented with an organic border to the rounded sides.
The upper rim of each silver dish is ornamented with a plain border, emanating into scrolling leaf designs.
Each dish is fitted with an impressive pair of organic shaped handles.
The antique silver fruit dishes are each supported by four ball style feet.
The hallmarks to the surface of each piece include:
Assay mark: Dianakopf mark
Silver quality/purity mark: Dianakopf mark* (.800, 800/1000)
* This variation of the Dianakopf mark was used for Austro-Hungarian silver between 1872-1922; this mark, in addition to the style, determines the date of this service as circa 1910.
