What is Orange Pi PC?

Orange Pi PC is an open source single-board card computer (SBC), a new generation of arm development board, it can run Android 4.4, Android 7.0, Ubuntu and Debian and other operating systems. Orange Pi PC uses the AllWinner H3 SoC, and has 1GB DDR3 memory.

What can I do with Orange Pi PC?

We can use it to build:

Pretty much anything else, because Orange Pi Pc is open source.

Orange Pi PC is for anyone who wants to start creating with technology- not just consuming it. lt's a simple, fun, useful tool that you can use to start taking control of the world around you. An excellent, and cost effective tool for learning the fundamentals of programming, coding, and server deployment. The Orange Pi PC will run a functional desktop operating system complete with web browser, file manager, other apps, local web site server, file sharing, etc. .

Orange Pi PC is an open-source single-board computer .It uses the Allwinner H3 SoC with Quad-core Cortex-A7, has 1GB LPDDR3 SDRAM, and can run Android 4.4, Ubuntu, Debian, Armbian. The best supported, and easiest to obtain would be Armbian which
is basically spinoff of Ubuntu customized to work on these particular single board computers.

A good alternative to the Raspberry Pi, Banana Pi, Tinkerboard, Rock Pi, and many others.

Some examples of what one could do with one of these would be, robotics, surveilance cameras, automated and remotely controllable electrical switching, automated audio recording and playback, cloud-free local file server / website storage / serving, weather, temperature, moisture, environment monitoring, etc.

This little computer, runs the very same operating system that over 95% of www servers on the internet run, including the site you are looking at.

Though it does not have the CPU, memory, and ethernet capacity of big enterprise machines you find in data centers, it is an excellent "sandbox"

device for developing and testing an endless list of theories and concepts.

i.e. Apache webserver, nginx, lighttpd to build your own website, with the addition of usb ethernet adaptors to support multiple networks, you can build your own router / firewall for local networks, and or routing between muliple ISP's.

Orange Pi PC offers a range of different ports, including CSI camera port, HDMI output, 40pin headers, 100M Ethernet port,USB2.0,etc. It is powered by 5 volt DC via barrel plug.

Package includes -
1 - Orange Pi PC Board, in its factory box and anti static bag
1 - Clear case
4 - Tiny screws to secure case bottom
4 - skid / cushion feet that cover screw holes
1 - 5 volt (US standard) 110 volt input power supply.

Please Note:
This is an ARM board.  It has no BIOS like desktops and laptops, and WILL NOT boot into
a BIOS screen. It needs to have an operating system flashed onto a micro SD card, and the
SD card inserted into the slot on the board.
Info about how to do so, can be obtained from orangepi.org.
Another source would be armbian.com.

We do offer this same board in a "plug and play" version, that comes with an SD card with the operating system pre-installed
and configured.
