Sony E Fit Helios 44M 58mm F/2 Lens With Bubble Bokeh Mod

This legendary Russian lens is a clone of the Carl Zeiss Biotar, and in standard form, is renowned for it's distinctive and attractive image quality and bokeh.

This version has been modified to give an extreme "bubble bokeh" look to out of focus highlghts and a glow to focused objects.

Images from this lens have a distinctive and other worldly appeal to them without needing to apply software special effect filters!

Please be aware that his lens is modified specifically to give a special effect. The lens will no longer focus to infinity with the outer limit being roughly 2 meters. Minimum focus distance is reduced to approx 40cm

The lens comes supplied with an adapter to allow it to fit Canon EOS DSLR cameras. It's a manual lens so focusing and aperture need to be adjusted manually but the camera will provide exposure control. It is highly recommended to use live view mode for focusing manual lenses as the magnification option allows for precise adjustment.

This lens comes with a removable Sony E adapter allowing it to be fitted to all Sony mirrorless models that have the E / FE / NEX type mount. The lens will work with both APS-C and full frame cameras.

The adapter is non permanent, and when removed, the lens has an "M42" mount and it can be very easily and cheaply adapted to pretty much any camera available today. I have personally used this lens on my Canon 60d, a Sony NEX-5 and a Panasonic G1 and GH2! There are M42 adapters available inexpensively for the following systems and more:

The lens is in very good working condition overall with just normal signs of use and not abuse! A few bits of dust/specs as with any used lens, but this will have no impact on image quality.

Fully tested on Canon and Sony cameras and delivering gorgeous looking images. The sample images speak for themselves!

Both the focus and aperture mechanisms function correctly.

The lens comes supplied with an M42 to Sony E adapter and front + rear caps.
