This uncirculated 500 Piso Philippines note is a commemorative banknote issued by the Central Bank of the Philippines to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Bangko Sentral. It is a yellow, orange, and black note that is dated 2009, bear the signatures of Gloria Macapagal Arroyo and Amando Maglalang Tetangco Jr, and measures 160 x 66 mm. Its obverse side features a dove with an olive branch, a flag, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas seal, a palm frond, Aquino’s manual typewriter, Benigno Simeon 'Ninoy' Aquino, and a blue-and-red '60 1949–2009 Central Banking in the Philippines' overprint. Its reverse side shows four people holding hands, a woman with a basket and a child giving flowers to soldiers with machine guns, a teacher and student with an open book, the Tarlac Capitol building, the Concepcion Municipal Building, and Aquino with a pen and camera as The Manila Times war correspondent covering the Korean War. Security features include a solid security thread, a windowed security thread with demetalized 500, and a watermark of Benigno Aquino Jr. The note was demonetized in 2017.
