THEOCTITE® MR 5923™ seals fittings, threaded metal connections and machined surfaces with little clearance in industrial, aeronautical and marine applications. it is a liquid that slowly transforms into a sticky film thanks to the evaporation of solvents. Typical applications include use in conjunction with solid gaskets, machined surfaces with little clearance, threaded metal connections,
aviation and marine engineering. The product can be used in applications with an operating temperature range from -54 °C to +204 °C.

GENERAL INFORMATION
This product is not recommended for use with pure oxygen and/or oxygen-rich systems and should not be used as a sealant for chlorine or other strong oxidizing materials.
For information relating to the safe use of this product, consult the Information Sheet in Security Matters (MSDS).
Instructions for use
1. Remove all residues from the contact surfaces.
2. For best results clean and prep the area with an oil-free solvent.
3. Remove the cap. Coat with the applicator cap brush.
4. For use as a gasket coating, spread the product with a spatula in a uniform film on one side
of the gasket and then place it on the assembly.
Coat the second side of the gasket and re-assemble.
A slower drying formulation increases working time.
5. Assembly is operational after 4 hours, full polymerization is achieved after 24 hours.
6. The product can be removed from metal surfaces with isopropyl alcohol. If the sealant should be
left to dry for a long period of time or at high temperatures, cover it with alcohol and leave it
soften overnight.

1. Clean your hands with hand cleaner.

LMS dated August 02, 2001. For the properties reported therein, test reports are available for each batch. Test reports according to LMS include Quality Control parameters considered appropriate to the specifications for customer use. Additional and comprehensive checks are carried out to ensure product quality and repeatability. Specific customer requests can be coordinated through the appropriate "Henkel Loctite Quality" body.
Storage
Store the product in the closed container in a dry place.
Storage information may also appear on product labeling.
Optimal storage: 8°C to 21°C. Storage at temperatures below 8 °C or above 28 °C, may
affect the performance of the product.
Once materials are removed from their containers, they may become contaminated during use. Do not re-introduce the product into the original container. Loctite assumes no responsibility for products that have been contaminated or stored in conditions other than those specified above.
