Tone capacitor tips for guitar pickups:
Humbucker & P90:
.02µf works great for both neck & bridge humbucker & P90 pickups
If you want to retain more highs for a brighter sound on the neck pickup, combine .02µf on bridge with .01µf on neck
Single coil pickups:
We recommend .05µf for vintage tone specs or if you want a brighter sound use .03µf
We also use .03µf for specific pickups - These give you a brighter sound than .50µf because they retain more highs and they cut more highs than the .02µf. Some manufacturers recommend this value for their pickups.
If you're undecided or wondering which value is best for your setup, check with the manufacturer of your pickups. They normally list the value they recommend along with wiring diagrams on their website.
