Very decorative antique Japanese Arita free form hand painted blue and white scalloped dish above a short foot with gilding and touches of copper red. Features a house and trees on the banks of a river with mountains in the distant background. Has a copper red seal mark on the interior of the bowl and a blue seal mark on the underside. Measures 7" diameter by 2.5" height and would be a beautiful chinoiserie display on a table top or shelf.
In very good estate condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. Couple of pinpoint frits on the rim that were present at the time of manufacture.
