USB Key Disk-Cypher AES 256 - SATA HDD Encryption Module
The New USB Key Disk-Cypher AES 256 SATA Hard Drive Encryption Module is
fast and easy to use. It is designed to encrypt drives connected to a
PC which have not been previously partitioned or formatted. The standard
AES 256-bit Encryption algorithm is used to encrypt drives.
The ICS supplied Disk-Cypher USB-256 Key Creator application is used to
generate the "keys" that are used to encrypt transferred data and to
perform "on-the-fly" decryption.
The ICS Disk-Cypher USB-256 module accepts any standard USB thumb drive,
previously formatted with FAT32, to store "keys." The user simply
connects a hard drive directly to the Disk-Cypher and any data written
to that drive is then automatically encrypted utilizing the AES 256
Encryption.
The data is encrypted with a unique key that can be located on any
standard thumb drive. New keys are generated by running a free ICS
utility on a regular PC. The user can then enter a pass code phrase and
saving the keys to a thumb drive. To decrypt data, the user simply
connects the Disk-Cypher and the thumb drive loaded with a copy of the
secure key to a PC and the data is decrypted automatically as is, read
or copy.
Simple and easy to use, the free key generation Utility Keys save to any
USB thumb drive and works with any size SATA Hard Drive. USB Thumb
Drives are NOT supplied by ICS.
Easy way to protect digital evidence: New Generation
Disk-Cypher provides an easy way to protect digital evidence by
encrypting the evidence hard drive or folders within the evidence hard
drive.
Safeguards critical data during transportation: Safeguards
the results of investigations that must be transported to other
required parties (i.e. Attorneys as well as other forensic
investigators).
AES 256 bit Algorithm: the New Generation Disk-Cypher
utilizes the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) AES
256 bit approved encryption at SATA speeds.
SATA connection: Connects through a SATA connector to Host/PC and with a second SATA connector to an "evidence" hard drive.
No external power supply needed: The unit utilizes power from the SATA connector, it does not require an external power supply.
Can be used with any regular PC: The New Generation
Disk-Cypher works with regular PCs or to encrypt either Linux DD images
or complete 100% images of hard drives.
External Key: Generated keys can be saved to any USB thumb drive
Highly transportable: The New Generation Disk-Cypher is a compact size device.
Affordable: Economical and cost effective.
