Description

Encore Pressing 35 years after Karajan's death

This is the only complete collection of Karajan's Tchaikovsky symphonies recorded with the Berlin Philharmonic in the 1970s.

Although he recorded the latter three symphonies several times, the recordings made in the 1970s, when the orchestra and Karajan were in their golden age, overwhelm the listener with their full sound and fluid music.

The three pieces from the early period, on the other hand, are Karajan's only recordings, but they are as full and rich as the later period, and are masterful performances that beautifully express the characteristics of each piece.
