Basic fitting method
- Safely isolate the electrical supply and remove the accessory faceplate.
- Fully remove the damaged lug and clear any sharp edges or obstructions.
- Straighten the side of the metal box where required.
- Push the repair clip securely into position by hand or with suitable pliers.
- Align and refit the faceplate using the restored M3.5 fixing point.

Installation and safety
Electrical work should be undertaken by a competent person with the circuit safely isolated, in accordance with the current edition of BS 7671 IET Wiring Regulations and all applicable requirements. Confirm the existing metal box is sound and suitable for repair. Do not strike the clip with a hammer, and do not overtighten the faceplate screw as this may damage the repair or accessory.
