How to use a hand drill to drill holes in the stone/glass/tile? 

Step 1. Start drilling with center pilot bit, keep adding water when drilling.

Step 2. After making the initial marks, remove the center pilot bit.

Step 3. Drilling without a center pilot bit, continuously "wobble" of the drill rather that steady pressure straight on.
