The kaleidoscope is in working order, with some wear from age.  There are some spots of wear to the brass finish as shown - please see photos.  The eyepiece turns properly, but does squeak a bit.  The kaleidoscope is approximately 6" long.  The hinges on the wood box work smoothly.  The wood box has some general exterior wear from storage - some spots, scuffs, nicks, etc, please see photos.
