Innova MoonDust Champion Teebird CDG SE

Spiral 176g Disc Golf FD Special Edition

Disc Information ๐Ÿ‘‡:

How these MoonDust TeeBirds feel: Noticeable

dome typical of the TeeBird. Softer Champion

plastic. Collect or Throw? Tough decision here.

More on Moondust Plastic: If Metal Flake and

Luster plastic conceived a baby while in orbit,

these gorgeous MoonDust discs would be the

result. With both Metal Flakes and microscopic

MoonDust, these discs have a rare gem like

appearance.

More about this offering: Over the years, scores

of discs have been released by dozens of

manufacturers, but few have stood the test

of time like the Eagle, Leopard, and TeeBird. All

three discs are just as relevant now as they were

when they were released in 1999. Why not celebrate

that along with another milestone, the USDGCโ€™s

25 years of innovation and incredible disc golf

action.

More about the TeeBird disc: The Innova TeeBird

is perhaps the most reliable fairway driver for

open to moderately wooded courses on the

market. It has the perfect amount of stability to

hold your line, even in mild winds. Excellent for

pin-point accuracy and sidearm.

Disc Information:

The TeeBird is a classic disc by Innova. It is a

popular fairway driver for many disc golfers.

Made for straight lines with an easy, steady

fade throughout its flight, the TeeBird is a

dependable, all-around control driver. This

disc set the standard for driving consistency

and is the disc that all new models are compared

with.

This is one of those magic point and shoot discs

that is a staple for so many bags. I have a

Champion and a Metal Flake Champion. The

Metal Flake is a little more overstable. Both

discs do really well in the wind to keep a straight

shot. This is my primary fairway driver and I love

it, love the birb!

One of the staples of my bag. For me I like them

most when they are brand new. On a slight

hyzer they stand up and go straight for the whole

flight, with a slight consistent fade at the end. I

cycle these (along with eagles recently) and they

are amazing. I have 4 that I use fairly consistently

(I only bag two). I would recommend these to

anyone. New players may not get a straight flight,

but I believe they would still be useful. Hard to

beat! They are definitely my most thrown fairway

and probably my most thrown disc (except maybe

the pig for approaches). They are amazing! You

can't go wrong!

The Teebird is my favorite fairway driver of all time,

it is very controllable. I currently bag a champ

teebird and when thrown flat or on a slight hyzer

it will turn just a little bit before finding the stability

to fade out at the end. I've always found it to be

very predictable. When I started I had a lightweight

champ teebird that followed this same flight

pattern even with my lower arm speed. And I

would highly recommend to beginners, it is a

very "point and shoot" driver.

To me this disc holds a very special place in heart.

It's like an Original Gangster disc. It was my 1st

stable disc that I could get a decent flight out of.

1st disc I perfected my spike hyzer with. My

champion version in my bag is the original Tee

Bird I got when I first started. This was my first

disc I could count on getting around trees.

In champion plastic, it has a dependable fade that

can get better while ground play skips. In my

early version GStar plastic the fade is way less

predictable and there's a lot less ground play, disc

is super gummy I've tried later versions of the GStar

and find it to be less gummy which I want for a

shot with no ground play. The Jen Allen Glow

2020 version is domey, allows a longer glide

with champion fade. The metal flake version is

more OS with less glide then the champion version

, which is great on windy days. I'm looking forward

to when Halo comes out in the TeeBird. I've thrown

some TB3 and just never liked them as much as a

MF or champion TB.

I received a Champion Teebird from my best

friend when I started playing disc golf with him.

Once you learn how to throw a disc pretty well

and known the flight numbers, this disc comes in

handy a lot. I pair it with a Leopard3, which I think

really completes a bag. I use this for shorter holes

where the baskets are on the right or left, and this

thing really flies well for being a overstable disc,

backhand or forehand. The great thing about it its

very predictable, which makes it easier to get it

close to the basket and control its flight path. I

even used it to sink a 20-30 foot attempt in the

basket. Recommend it for someone looking for

a overstable disc that gets good distance and is

easy to handle.
